Saturday Dinner at ANQI

On Saturday night we celebrated our good friend Gino's Birthday.  A group of us went to ANQI Gourmet Restaurant and Noodle Bar.  Can I just say YUMMY!!!

We started the night at Gino and Jiwon's house for a little pre-dinner cocktailing....

Off to ANQI we went.

I ordered a drink called the Pink Lotus.  It comes as a martini glass with a sugar rim and pink cotton candy in it. 

Then they pour in the shaken martini on top of the cotton candy (which instantly melts), and voila, you have a Pink Lotus.  SOOO good!!  I may have splurged a little on the sugar drinks tonight.

We decided to both order items that we both wanted so we could share.  This was after the 80 different appetizers that came through.  And yes, the newbie blogger forgot to take pictures of all of them.  Sad.  Anyhoot, the entrees will make your mouth water plenty.

I ordered the ANQI Char-Grilled Jumbo Prawns.....AMAZING!

Kevin ordered the Short Ribs

About half the table ordered cappuccinos, which came out beautiful.

And you can't have a complete Birthday dinner without singing Happy Birthday to the birthday boy.  I guess he wanted to join in and sing to himself also.

Another successful birthday dinner in the books.  Our bellies were so full and happy by the time we left dinner.
